REYANSH KAPOOR

It's been a month since I saw her in Goa but I still cannot get over that girl. I guess maa had already noticed some changes in my behaviour these days.

I was working hard and I was trying to divert my attention towards other things but I failed every time.

Just when I was thinking about her I heard a knock. "Come in." I said and my assistant entered the cabin.

"Sir, you have a meeting in 5 minutes." My assistant said and I hummed. "I'd like to have tea before that." I said and he nodded.

A business partner suggested that I should have tea, as it can help one get rid of stress and the only stress I have right now is how do I find that girl.

I entered the conference room and everyone stood up to show respect. "Please take your seat." I said and the meeting started.

I liked the designs they made and all the technology they have added in the project. Everything seems perfect.

"So Mr. Kapoor, would you like to collaborate with our company?" The head of their company asked and I opened my laptop.

"The technology you want in the cars is perfect but you lack somewhere in designs." I said and looked at the head. I could see sweat appearing on his face.

"But it's alright because my team can work on the designs." I said and their team smiled.

I closed my laptop and he extended his hand forward for a handshake but I slightly shook my head.

"Congratulations Mr. Aggarwal, I hope you enjoy working on this project." I said and he stood up and bowed. "Thank you Mr. Kapoor and yes, I'll for sure enjoy working on this project." He said and I nodded and started walking out of the conference room.

Another successful meeting. I smiled to myself and got inside my cabin and as soon as I entered my cabin, thoughts about her started clouding my mind.

"I don't even know your name Miss, but I promise that you'll soon be Mrs. Kapoor." I said to myself and picked up my phone dialling for someone I know can help me with this.

"Hello Raj, it's Reyansh this side." And I explained everything to him.

"Reyansh, I'm sorry but I cannot help you because you literally have no information about her." He said this for the third time and I'm tired of explaining everything over and over again.

"Raj, she was wearing a blue kurta-" He cut me off .

"Arey yaar Reyansh iss duniya mein kitni hi ladkiyaan blue kurta with wide blue pants pehan sakti hai. Aur kya bolo tune? Jhumke right? Bhai har teesri ladki jhumke pehenti hai ab mein kaise dhundun use?"

(Reyansh, many girls in this whole world wear blue kurta with wide blue pants and what else did you say? Earrings right? Brother every third girl wears earrings, now how do I find her?)

I sighed and started thinking about something that could help me find her.

"Bhai abhi tu thoda rest kar let me think." (Brother, take some rest for now and let me think.) He said and I hummed and hung up.

How do I find you Mrs. Kapoor?

I was working on some designs when I got a call from maa. "Reyansh beta, you've been working for too long bache." She said through the phone.

"Maa I'll be back in sometime, you please have your dinner and sleep." I said and she agreed.

Maa I wish I could tell you that I have found your Bahu and the future Rani.

I sighed and diverted my attention towards the designs again. Everything is going to be fine, Reyansh, you'll find her soon.

I was home and home meant so much to me. As soon as I reached home Kaka came towards me. "Kunwar Sa, do you need anything?" He said and I handed him my bag. "Nhi kaka." (No kaka) . I said and started walking away.

I stepped into my room and the next sight broke my heart. Maa was sitting on my bed , her eyes were closed and she was holding an album in her hand.

I stepped closer towards my bed. This album did not have pictures but drawings in it. Drawings I made as a kid. My mom taught me how to paint and draw. She's a very good artist. But I wonder why maa was going through this album today.

"Maa" I called out and gently shook her shoulder. She slowly opened her eyes and blinked two to three times to adjust herself to the light. "Reyansh, arey beta come sit here." She fixed her posture and sat up properly.

I sat near her and looked at her. "Khana khaya beta?" ( Did you have food, son?) She asked me and I nodded. " Ji Maa." (Yes maa). I said and she cupped my face.

"Kya hua hai beta? Ever since you came back from Goa you've been acting differently." ( What happened son?) She said and I looked down. I got up without saying anything and went to take a shower.

I have to share this with Maa or else this will keep bothering me more than it is bothering me right now. After I was done showering I stepped out of the bathroom. I saw maa was ready with a blanket. I really needed to let it out now. I walked towards my bed and climbed up. I really wanted to release this stress out on someone but I couldn't. "Reyansh" She said and I looked at her. "Come here."she said and patted her lap. I immediately crawled towards her and kept my head on her lap.

"Chaliye ab btaiye aapko kya hua hai'' (Now tell me what has happened to you.) She asked me while running her hands through my hair gently. "Maa I guess I love somebody." I said and she chuckled.

"Reyansh, it's never I guess when it comes to love. You have to be sure mere bache." (My baby) . She said and I looked at her. Maa is the most understanding mother somebody could ever have.

"Nhi maa, hum use jaante bhi nhi. Infact humne unko sirf 2 baar dekha hai par I cannot move on from her at all." (No mom, I don't even know her. In Fact I have only seen her two times.) I said and she gave me a smile.

"And did you try to find her?" She asked and I nodded. " I tried but everyone needs details." I said and she looked up at the ceiling. "Oh wait, I have an idea." She said and I sat up. "Let's call a professional artist tomorrow and we can ask him to make her painting and then you can find her." She said and now that I think of it it's a good idea.

"You remember how she looked right, Reyansh?" She asked and I nodded. "I do Maa, I remember every detail. " I said and she smiled.

"Great, so tomorrow morning get ready and NO OFFICE!" She said the last part firmly. I have always respected all the decisions she has taken for me. I respect my maa a lot and I can do anything and everything for her.

"Ab aap please soo jaaiye, hum aapse subha baat karenge." (Now you please sleep, I will talk to you tomorrow morning.) She said and got up to leave.

"Good night Reyansh." She said and left the room.

"I love you Maa." I said and I locked my room.

A painting? Hm, a painting is a good idea.

"Good morning Maa." I could feel someone's presence while I was making my protein shake and I knew it was Maa because nobody wakes up this early instead of her.

"Morning Reyansh." She said and started walking towards the cabinet. "I'll have my tea and then we can talk okay?" She said and I turned around to face her. "Sure." I said.

I was supposed to be in my cabin right now, but Maa has ordered me to stay home today.

"Kunwar Sa, you'll have to be very particular about the details." He said and I nodded.

Everything was set and I was sitting near the artist. Maa gave me a thumbs up and left. "Hm, Kunwar Sa, please start." He said and I started explaining.

"She had siren eyes and I was completely possessed. Her heart shaped lips suited her face." While I was explaining all the details, I was smiling at myself .

"She had a snubbed nose and she had a nose piercing. She was wearing a nose ring. She had perfect ears which were C shaped. Her earlobe was not completely attached to her skin. She was wearing earrings, wait, no, they were jhumkas. She was wearing jhumkas. Her face was-"

I stopped and closed my eyes. "Yes! She had a diamond shaped face and her eyelashes were big. Her neck was not too long and not too short but she had a pretty collarbone. She had long hair, her hair was highlighted as golden somewhere in between but the rest were dark, a very dark shade of brown." I stopped and looked at the artist.

"Are you done?" I asked the artist and he nodded. He got up from his seat. "Have a look please." He said.

This painting looked exactly the same as her. "I hope she looks like this, Kunwar Sa." He said and I nodded. "Yes, she does." This is so accurate.

"Is it done Ritvik ji?" Maa entered the room . "Ji Rani Sa." (Yes Queen) . He said. I was just looking at the painting, never in these 7 minutes did I blink my eyes at all. She was the one I was looking for. Maa came towards me and she looked at the painting.

"Just beautiful like I thought." She said softly. "So beautiful Maa, prettier than all the prettiest things I've ever seen in my life." I said and Maa chuckled. "Now you can find her, my child." She said and I nodded. Yes I can Maa, and I will. She'll be here with us.

I'll find you my Mrs. Kapoor and bring you here, in this mansion, near me and I'll love you forever.

I've seen how Papa treats Maa. They are old but I don't think their love will ever die. I am the son of Raghuveer and Raksha Kapoor and I'll make sure to love you till

my last breath.
